Summer Dress and a Floral Collar

I think I may have found the perfect dress for the warm months of summer! I only like to wear dresses in the summer that are comfortable and keep me cool. This pastel and paisley print dress is from Lulu* It's beautiful for this time of year and the sheer light fabrics it's made out of make you forget it's even a long sleeve maxi. This piece is great for going out with the girls or on a date because it's so feminine. It would also look amazing for an outdoor concert, summer wedding, music festival, a weekend brunch - the list goes on and on.

Lulu*s has the most gorgeous dresses I've ever seen, so I added a few other similar options from them for you to look at. (Click on the link or photo).

The floral collar Ruger is wearing was made by a local florist, Blooms and Co. in Salt Lake City. I tried calling many different florists to create one for me and the owner of the boutique was more than happy to do it! I gave her a basic idea of what I was looking for - which was something not too girly for Ruger and I wanted it to have a wild look. From there, I let her surprise me with exactly how it would look and what it would be made with. She used mint, basil, and blushing bride protea (which I'd never even heard of but am now obsessed with). It smelled like a garden and when I put it on him I wanted to cry because it looked so stunning! While we were shooting he kept wandering into the high grass and bushes so I had to take the collar off him once we got some photos. I wasn't planning on wearing it myself, but I didn't want it to get ruined and it matched my dress!
